Who – the client
Lubas Medical Ltd. provide medical training and medical staff across the UK and internationally. Over the past 20+ years, the company has built a robust brand and clientele; its Sports Trauma course was the first of its kind, and they are the official supplier of FASE training to the England and Wales Cricket Board, as well as supplier to the Welsh Premier League, Team Wales (Commonwealth) and pitch side medical team for Cardiff City FC and the FAW. Altogether, they’ve trained over 1,000 pitch-side medical staff.
Although Lubas Medical Ltd. had already built an outstanding reputation, they had some ambitious growth targets which required a more structured approach to marketing. The number of people suffering sports-related injuries, coupled with an increase in regulations and a greater focus on wellbeing, gave the team a great opportunity to review their approach to marketing and reach a wider audience.
Lubas approached Glew with the goal of developing a focused marketing strategy and guidance on how to promote their brand clearly and consistently. There was already a marketing assistant in house, but they recognised the value of senior input to enable them to deliver an effective marketing strategy.
What Glew delivered
Glew worked closely with Lubas’ senior directors to carry out a thorough audit of the market, develop a clearer sense of the brand position and produce some target customer personas. Outputs included a full strategy report, brand voice chart and brand pyramid, B2B and B2C target personas and a specific plan for social media. These were used to develop an action plan and a template for measuring and monitoring the right KPIs.
