How we collect information from you

We obtain information about you when you use our website, contact us via our contact form or email, or enter into a contract with us to provide marketing services.

What type of information we collect from you

Non-personal identification information: When you visit our site, WordPress and Google Analytics collect information such as your IP address, the type of device you’re using, your browser and operating system and your broad geographical location. However, we are not able to identify you personally from this data.

Personal information: the only personal information we collect is that which you voluntarily submit via our web contact form, whilst making an enquiry, or throughout the course of a quotation request or contractual agreement.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to enquiries you submit
  • Improve the content and layout of our website
  • Fulfil our contractual obligations

If we wish to use your personal data for a new purpose we will notify you and, where relevant, seek your consent prior to processing.

Our legal basis for processing your personal data

  • Contract: Some processing of personal data is required if we are to successfully fulfil a contract we have in place with you.
  • Legitimate interest: You have contacted us with an enquiry or to request a quotation in relation to marketing consultancy.

Where your information is stored

Glew Marketing stores personal data on Dropbox and Google. Access to these systems is secure and password protected. Physical data is safely stored and destroyed when no longer needed.

Who has access to your information

Your information is used exclusively by Glew Marketing.  We will not share, sell or rent your information to third parties unless you have requested us to do so or we are required to do so by law.

We use some third parties, e.g. Dropbox and Google, which are based outside the European Union to process data. However, they all use secure, encrypted transmission and comply with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework.

Some non-sensitive details (your email address etc.) may be transmitted over the internet, which can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

How long we keep your personal data

If you are a client or supplier, we keep your personal data for 7 years following the cessation of work. This is necessary for accounts and tax purposes.

If you’re not a client, we will keep your data until you withdraw your consent or it is no longer needed – whichever is sooner.

How we protect your information

When we hold your information, we do our very best to ensure its safety through appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices. We have security measures in place to protect against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal data.

Data breaches

We will report any unlawful data breach to any and all relevant persons and authorities within 72 hours of the breach if it is apparent that identifiable personal data has been compromised.

Your rights

You have rights regarding your data. You can ask for a copy of any data we hold about you, update your information when you want and ask for all information that isn’t subject to our legal obligations to be deleted. To find out what information we hold, update it or ask to be ‘forgotten’, please write to or email us.

You also have the right to make a complaint about the use of your data with the information commissioner. See more information at: www.ico.org.uk.
